The board of trustees of the library, hereinafter referred to as the board, consists of seven (7) resident members. All members are to be appointed by the mayor with the approval of the council 1 . All members of the board shall be bona fide citizens and residents of the city. Resident members shall be over the age of eighteen (18) years. (1985 Code §§4-1.03, 4-1.04)
