11-1-5: PARKING LANES DESIGNATED:
   (A)   The chief of police is hereby authorized to cause lanes or markings to be painted or placed upon the curbs and/or upon the streets, designating the parking space of each vehicle, which said lanes or markings shall be so painted or placed as to show either parallel or diagonal parking at such places. It shall be unlawful, where such spaces are designated, to park any vehicle across any such lane or markings or to park any vehicle in such position that the same shall not be entirely within the space so designated by such lanes or markings. Where such spaces are not designated, it shall be unlawful to park except when headed with the traffic, parallel with the edge of the curb, or other street property, and with the curbside edge of the vehicle within twelve inches (12") of the curb or other street boundary.
   (B)   The driver of any vehicle parking in an area which has been designated as diagonal, shall turn his vehicle to the right and toward the right hand curb so that the vehicle will make an angle of approximately forty five degrees (45°) with the curb, with the right hand side of said vehicle to the curb and shall bring the same to a stop so that the right front wheel of the vehicle shall not be more than one foot (1') from the curb.
