The board of park commissioners shall meet on or before September 1 of each year and appoint one of its members as chairperson, and one of its members as vice chairperson, who may assume the duties of the chairperson in the event of his absence, and shall also choose from its members a person who shall serve as secretary of the board. These persons shall constitute the officers of the board and shall retain their offices for a term of one year, or until their successors have been selected. (Ord. 235, 7-23-1971; amd. 1977 Code)
