The terms of office of the respective members of the board of park commissioners shall be as follows:
(A) The member appointed from the city council shall serve for a period of two (2) years, or until the end of his period as a council member, whichever occurs first.
(B) The remaining seven (7) members shall be appointed for a term of four (4) years, except that those who are appointed as the initial board members shall serve for a period as follows: Three (3) members shall be appointed for a term of two (2) years; two (2) members for a term of three (3) years; and two (2) members for a term of four (4) years.
