(A) Property Owners: Owners of property adjacent to a street tree shall provide adequate maintenance for the tree. Adequate maintenance shall include sufficient water, proper pruning and protection from injury by vehicles or other causes.
(B) City:
1. The city shall remove or cause the removal of public or private tree branches which present a hazard to the public health, safety or welfare.
2. The city shall have the right to plant, prune, maintain and remove trees, plants or shrubs within the right of way of all streets, alleys, and public grounds. (Ord. 434, 11-18-2003)
