The Fire Chief shall cause inspections to be made of all buildings within the municipality or by contract, as allowed under the Ohio Fire Code and National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) except for one and two-family residential buildings occupied by the property owner of record. The Fire Chief shall serve written notice upon the owners to abate, within a specified time, any and all fire hazards that may be found therein.

(A) The Fire Chief, department officers, and members of the Fire Division shall be compensated at a rate as approved by the City Council.
(B) Payment for weekly equipment check, special maintenance, and reporting and filing of payroll shall be paid at the applicable active duty rate.
(C) All members of the Fire Division shall not miss more than 2 consecutive meetings a year, unless an excused absence is granted in advance by the Fire Chief or his or her designee. Weather permitting, the members of the Fire Division shall take out, and practice with the fire equipment at each and every practice meeting.
(D) The city shall provide accident and disability insurance to all volunteer fire personnel.
(E) Excepting the Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, or as otherwise provided for by Council, the officers and members shall be paid for their attendance in accordance with city policy.

(A) Compensation is authorized to continue to municipal employees at their regular classifications and rate when and while they are answering a fire or ambulance call and are then serving as city firefighters or squadmembers.
(B) These 2 rates of compensation are to be payable concurrently for the hours as the municipal employee would have been at his or her municipal employment during a regular shift had he or she not responded to a fire or ambulance call.
(C) After the regular shift of municipal employment ends or would have ended the employee shall then receive only the appropriate rate of firefighter's or squadmember's compensation to which he or she is entitled while on the fire or ambulance call.
(D) An employee who is a volunteer member of both the Fire Division and the Emergency Services Division is entitled to compensation from only 1 of the divisions for any particular run.

MEDICAL SERVICES
(A) The Chief of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) shall formulate a set of rules and regulations and shall be responsible to the City Manager for the personnel, morale, and general efficiency of the Department. The Division of Emergency Medical Services shall consist of employees classified as: volunteer part-time, paid part-time, and full time.
(B) The Division of Emergency Services shall be responsible for:
(1) Providing ambulance and rescue services in addition to any other programs beneficial to the well-being of those persons within the municipality and any other governmental unit for which the city has entered into an agreement.
(2) Performing other duties which may be assigned by the EMS Chief.
