16-210: CHAUFFEUR'S LICENSE AND VIOLATION OF LAW:
Any person operating a taxicab shall be required to possess a chauffeur's license issued by the state department of public safety. If the operator of any such vehicle shall be convicted in any court within the state for the violation of any law pertaining to the possession, use or sale of intoxicating liquors while operating the motor vehicle, his permit to operate the taxicab within the city or any other vehicles for hire shall immediately and automatically be revoked. Such person shall not be permitted to operate a vehicle for hire within the city for a period of one year from that date. Upon two (2) such convictions, the person shall not be permitted to operate such motor vehicle within the city again. (2000 Code § 16-210)
