14-402: REPLACEMENT AND INSPECTION:
After the person, firm or corporation has made such opening in the public streets or sidewalks, the same shall be replaced in such manner as may be prescribed by the city and as may be prescribed by the city manager. After such replacement has been made, the person, firm or corporation making the opening in said street or sidewalk shall notify the office of the city clerk that the same is ready for inspection. Within twenty four (24) hours after such notification, excluding Sundays and holidays, the city manager, or such person as is designated by the city manager, shall inspect such replacement and either approve or reject the same. If the same is rejected as not having conformed to the rules and regulations prescribed by the city, such rejection shall be communicated to the person having made said opening; and said person, firm or corporation shall immediately make such replacement in conformity with the rules and regulations prescribed by the city.
