A. No person shall practice or engage in the business, trade or occupation of a journeyman plumber, a plumbing contractor or a plumber's apprentice unless he is registered as such with the City and licensed as such with the State. The registration fees to be paid to the City Clerk shall be as set by the Council by motion or resolution as follows:
1. For annual registration as a journeyman plumber;
2. For annual registration as a plumbing contractor;
3. For annual registration as a plumber's apprentice.
B. It is unlawful for any person other than a duly registered plumber authorized to engage in the business, trade or occupation of journeyman plumber, plumbing contractor or plumber's apprentice in the State and the City to perform plumbing work of any nature on rental or commercial property of any type.
C. It is unlawful for a plumber's apprentice to perform any plumbing work while not under the direct, on site supervision of a journeyman plumber.
D. No person, firm or corporation shall lend his or its plumber's registration to any other person, nor shall any such registered person, firm or corporation apply for a permit in his or its name for use of any other person. (2000 Code § 5-204)
