5-107: WOOD SHINGLES PERMITTED OUTSIDE FIRE LIMITS:
Notwithstanding provisions of the building code, wood shingles may be used outside of the fire limits for roofing on dwellings and on buildings accessory to dwellings, such as private garages and barns. (2000 Code § 5-107)
