PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE

2-4-1: APPOINTMENT AND PURPOSE:
The president of the village board shall have the authority to appoint a parks and recreation advisory committee. The purpose of the committee shall be limited to policy, planning, development and recreation programs recommendations as directed or set forth by the village president, with the consent of the village board of trustees. 2-4-2: COMPOSITION; TERM; COMPENSATION:
The composition of the committee shall be limited to a maximum seven (7) members appointed by the village president. The committee members shall serve at the pleasure of the village president. The committee members will not receive financial compensation for their services, with the exception of reimbursements for expenses which have received approval from the village president and the village board of trustees. 2-4-3: MEETINGS:
   A.   The committee shall meet a minimum of twice annually and more often when necessary or at the call of the chair or village president. The committee meetings are subject to the Illinois open meetings act 1 . Agendas will be posted at the village hall and/or on the village website.
   B.   Minutes shall be recorded at each meeting and approved at the next succeeding meeting. The committee chair shall determine the person or persons responsible for the recording of the meeting minutes. (Ord. 2008-3, 6-3-2008)
