There is hereby established a Sherman planning committee. The committee shall consist of a number of members to be set by resolution of the board of trustees from time to time and shall be appointed by the president, with the advice and consent of the village board of trustees. The terms of office of the members of the committee shall be four (4) years and until their successors are appointed by the president and confirmed by the village board of trustees. A vacancy shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment for the remainder of the unexpired term. (Ord. 2009-4, 1-20-2009; amd. 2010 Code)
A. Officers:
1. Chair: There shall be a chair of the committee elected by the members of the committee at its annual organizational meeting.
2. Secretary: The clerk shall serve as administrative secretary for the committee and shall keep a record of all resolutions, proceedings, and actions of the committee.
B. Quorum; Voting: A majority of the members of the committee shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of its business. A majority vote of members present shall constitute approval of business before it.
C. Meetings: Special meetings may be called by the chair or by no less than a majority of the members of the committee. Any person or that person's duly authorized representative shall be entitled to appear and be heard on any matter before the committee reaches a decision. (Ord. 2009-4, 1-20-2009; amd. 2010 Code)
