11-1-5: COMPLIANCE WITH PROVISIONS:
   A.   It shall be unlawful for any subdivider of land within the corporate limits of the village, or in an unincorporated area within one and one-half (11/2) miles of the corporate limits, to subdivide land into lots, blocks, streets, alleys or public open space unless by plat in accordance with the laws of the state and the provisions of this title. (1984 Code § 6-1-4)
   B.   No plat of any subdivision may be entitled to be recorded in the county recorder's office or have any validity until it shall have been approved in a manner prescribed in this title. (1984 Code § 6-1-6)
