53-00-1: STANDARDIZATION OF ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL PROCEDURES AND REPORTING:
In order to establish and maintain best practices for accounting and financial reporting for Salt Lake City Corporation, it is the purview of the Department of Finance to direct and advise city departments on best practices for accounting policies and procedures. Individual Departments, Divisions, Enterprise Funds, and any other controlled entities of the City are required to consult with the Department of Finance on the proper implementation and execution of procedures related to accounting and financial controls, which shall be in conformance with relevant state and federal requirements and guidelines.
