A. Employees may be placed on paid administrative leave due to an investigation, discipline, or for organizational needs.
1. Employees should be placed on paid administrative leave for no longer than is necessary.
2. The supervisor placing the employee on paid administrative leave for an investigation, discipline, or for organizational needs must provide documented employee status updates on day one and every 30 days thereafter, until the matter is resolved, to the employee, to their department director, human resources director, and the mayor’s chief of staff.
