Article P-1.0 Adoption of the 2018 International Plumbing Code, with local amendments.
§ P-1.1 The "2018 International Plumbing Code" as published by the International Code Council is hereby adopted as the Philadelphia Plumbing Code, with such additions, deletions and amendments as set forth in § P-1.2.

§ P-1.2 The "2018 International Plumbing Code", copies of which are on file with the Department of Licenses and Inspections, is incorporated as if fully set forth herein, subject to the following local amendments.
   § P-1.2.1 Italics indicates matter added. Strikethrough indicates matter deleted.
   § P-1.2.2 The numbers of all subsections subject to amendments shall be preceded with the prefix "P-". 312
   § P-1.2.3 Throughout the code, references to "International" codes or "ICC" codes shall be deemed to refer to the "Philadelphia" codes of the same name.
   § P-1.2.4 The Department of Licenses and Inspections is authorized to publish a "Philadelphia Plumbing Code" (subject to applicable copyright laws) fully incorporating these amendments and any associated graphics that provide guidance on the application of this code.

   Added, Bill No. 960589 (approved March 19, 1997). This Subcode "P" repealed and replaced in its entirety previous Title 8, which was based on Bill No. 891 (approved February 17, 1995), 1995 Ordinances, p. 91, as amended. This Subcode "P" was repealed and replaced in its entirety by Bill No. 190455 (approved July 24, 2019). Section 2 of Bill No. 190455 provides: "The provisions of this Ordinance are subject to review under the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act (Act 45 of 1999, P.L. 491, as amended) and shall become effective October 1, 2019, or upon resolution of any challenge that is filed with the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry pursuant to the requirements of Section 503 of Act 45 of 1999, as amended (35 P.S. sec. 7210.503), if the challenge is resolved after that date. The Commissioner of the Department of Licenses and Inspections shall provide written certification to the Chief Clerk within ten days of the filing of any challenge, and further such certification regarding the resolution of any challenge."
