In addition to their regular compensation, a longevity pay for members of the Division of Police, within rank, shall be paid as follows:
(a) After five years of service, the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00) per year shall be paid;
(b) After ten years of service, the sum of four hundred dollars ($400.00) per year shall be paid;
(c) After fifteen years of service, the sum of six hundred dollars ($600.00) per year shall be paid;
(d) After twenty years of service, the sum of eight hundred dollars ($800.00) per year shall be paid;
(e) After twenty-five years of service, the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000) per year, shall be paid;
(f) After thirty years of service and thereafter the sum of one thousand two hundred dollars ($1,200) per year shall be paid.

(a) Personnel within rank shall be entitled to vacation with pay as provided in Section 173.06. They shall also be entitled to sick leave as provided in Ohio R.C. 124.38, and to eleven paid holidays per year, excluding days off, as provided in Section 131.02 of this Code. They shall also be bonded under the Public Employee's Blanket Bond, as provided in Section 173.01.

(b) If, during one calendar year, any member of the Division of Police, within rank, does not use any sick leave benefits, that member shall be granted one additional week vacation with pay in addition to whatever other vacation with pay such member is entitled to under the ordinances of the City. Such vacation with pay shall be granted only in the calendar year immediately following the calendar year in which the member did not use any sick leave benefit.
(c) In the event of the death of a spouse, a child or a parent of a within rank member, such member shall be entitled to a three-day bereavement leave with pay which shall not be deducted from accumulated sick leave.
In the event of the death of a sister, brother or grandparent, or a current mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law or son-in-law, of a member within rank, such member shall be entitled to one calendar day or one tour of duty as bereavement leave with pay, which shall not be deducted from accumulated sick leave.

(d) Upon the effective date of this subsection (Ordinance 131-82, passed August 16, 1982), the Chief of Police and captains, lieutenants and sergeants in the Division of Police shall be entitled to one paid personal day, in addition to any vacation or other leave time, during each one and one-half year period in the Division's standard work schedule.

(a) One Chief Record Clerk.
(b) One Secretary under the exclusive control of the Chief of Police.
(c) Twelve Clerk-Typist PBX and Data Operators.
(d) One Surgeon of Police.
(e) One or more school guards.
(f) One or more emergency patrolpersons.
(g) One or more part-time clerks.
(h) Five or more full-time dispatchers and one or more permanent part-time dispatchers as are needed for full function of the communication center.

The Chief of Police may set uniform and equipment standards for school guards necessary for them to perform their duties and may accordingly issue purchase requisitions to equip school guards and/or provide reimbursement to officers for some or all of the cost.

Personnel without rank, other than those provided in subsections (d), (e), (g) and (h) of Section 143.08, shall be entitled to vacation leave as provided for in Section 173.06.
