1068.01 BURIALS OUTSIDE MUNICIPAL CEMETERY PROHIBITED.
   Burial of the dead within the Municipality is prohibited, with the exception of burials within the cemetery owned and maintained by the Municipality.

1068.02 EXHUMATION OF UNLAWFULLY BURIED BODIES.
   Any body buried within the Municipality in violation of this chapter shall be taken up by order of the Mayor and buried in compliance with the law. The cost of taking up, removing and reburying any such body shall be borne by the person who is responsible for the unlawful burial.

1068.03 SALE OF GRAVE LOTS; FEES; MAXIMUM NUMBER OF BURIALS PER LOT.
   (a)   In all sales of grave lots, the consideration therefor shall be payment in cash, and no person shall be permitted to purchase more than four grave lots without prior consent of Council.
   (b)   Fees for grave lots are set forth in Chapter 214 of the Administration Code.
   (c)   The owner of a grave lot may stack not more than two burials within the same grave lot.
   (d)   The owner of a grave lot may have cremated remains interred, but may not exceed six cremated remains in one lot.

1068.04 SALE OR TRANSFER OF GRAVES.
   No sale or transfer of any grave shall be made by any owner without the consent and approval of the Mayor or his or her designee. Any owner requesting a duplicate deed to a grave lot or desiring to have the Mayor or his or her designee consent and approve the sale or transfer of any grave shall, together with his or her request therefor, file a sum as set forth in Chapter 214 of the Administration Code as a fee to pay the cost and expense to the Municipality of making the transfer of the record of the ownership of such grave. If the Mayor or his or her designee refuses to approve such sale or transfer, the fee shall be returned.

1068.05 PURCHASER'S DEED.
   Upon the payment of the purchase price of any lot in the Municipal Cemetery, the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute and deliver to the purchaser proper deeds or instruments of conveyance for the same.

1068.06 BURIAL PERMIT REQUIRED; FEE; PURPOSE.
   Any person wishing to have a deceased person buried within the Municipal Cemetery shall obtain a permit for the opening of the grave lot, which permit shall be furnished by the Director of Finance. Such person shall pay in cash, at the rates set forth in Chapter 214 of the Administration Code, for the service to be rendered by the Municipality through its employees or agents in the opening of the grave lot and the filling and trimming thereof following the burial.
1068.07 FOOTER INSTALLATION CHARGE.
   Without exception, the charge for the footer installation of each grave shall be as set forth in Chapter 214 of the Administration Code.
