Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. The following street name is hereby designated as hereafter indicated.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to prohibiting the conversion, alteration and demolition of single room occupancy multiple dwellings during a serious public emergency
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

§ 7. Subdivisions a and c of section 27-198.2 of the administrative code shall expire and shall have no further force or effect on the fifth anniversary date of the effective date of local law number one of nineteen hundred eighty-seven and on the anniversary date of such local law occurring in every fifth year thereafter unless within the thirty day period prior to such anniversary date a local law has been enacted based upon a finding that the serious public emergency described in section one of such local law continues to exist.
§ 8. Any payments made to the low and moderate income housing fund prior to the effective date of this local law shall be transferred to the single room occupancy housing development fund company established pursuant to subdivision i of section 27-198.2 of the administrative code.
§ 9. If any provision of this local law or its application to any person or circumstance shall be held invalid, the remainder of this local law and the applicability of its provisions to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.
§ 10. This local law shall take effect immediately.
