6-4-8: PENALTIES:
Any person violating subsection 6-4-1C of this chapter shall be subject to the penalty provisions of subsections B, C and D of this section. Any person violating any other section of this chapter shall be subject to the penalty provisions of subsections A, C and D of this section.
   A.   The sum of thirty five dollars ($35.00) for the first violation and fifty dollars ($50.00) for the second and subsequent violations of the violator in any one year period.
   B.   The sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00) for the first violation, three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) for the second violation, and five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the third and subsequent violations of the violator in any two (2) year period.
   C.   Said fines shall be paid to the city within seventy two (72) hours of the date of the ticket charging such alleged offense at the police station or at the city hall. A receipt shall be issued for all monies so received, and said monies shall be promptly turned over to the city treasurer.
   D.   If the above fine is not paid within seventy two (72) hours of the date of the ticket charging such offense, a written complaint for a violation of this chapter shall be obtained and issued through the city attorney and served by certified mail, or by personal or abode service by the sheriff, on the person or persons charged with the offense along with a notice to appear to answer said charge. Any person found guilty in a court of law of violating any provision of this chapter shall be subject to penalty under the provisions of section 1-4-1 of this code for each offense. (Ord., 6-26-2012)
