4-1-1: ADOPTION OF CODES:

The following listed codes are hereby adopted as the building codes for the city for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided, and each and all regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of said codes are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this chapter. Three (3) copies of each of the codes adopted in this section are on file in the office of the city clerk for public use and inspection.

International building code, 2006 edition.

International fire code, 2006 edition.

International mechanical code, 2006 edition.

International fuel gas code, 2006 edition.

International property maintenance code, 2006 edition.

International energy conservation code, 2006 edition.

International residential code, 2006 edition.

Illinois accessibility code, 1997 edition.

The term "building official", as used in the codes adopted in this section, shall mean the building inspector or any other officer of the city, designated by the city council, having the duty to enforce the building regulations of the city. (2010 Code)

4-1-2: PENALTY:

Any person violating any of the provisions of the codes adopted in section 4-1-1 of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be fined as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
