§ 31.06 DUTIES OF OTHER OFFICERS.

   Any city officer not herein especially referred to, shall perform the duties and exercise the powers conferred by state law, city ordinance or resolution, or other action of the Common Council or any committee thereof.

§ 31.07 DEPUTY MAYOR.

   (A)   Pursuant to IC 36-4-9-7, the position of Deputy Mayor is hereby created.

   (B)   The position of Deputy Mayor shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The Deputy Mayor may exercise all the powers granted to the Mayor by Indiana law when the Mayor is unavailable to exercise his or her duties.

§ 31.15 JANITOR OF CITY BUILDING.

   It is the duty of the janitor of the city building to have charge of, and care for, under the direction of the Committee on Finance of the Common Council, the city building; to keep same clean, in good order, warmed by fire, and lighted during the hours required by Council, or any Committee thereof; and to perform the duties required of him, by municipal ordinance, resolution, or other action of the Council, or the orders of the Finance Committee.
