§ 39.065 VEHICLE USE POLICY.
   The vehicle use and assignment policy shall control and regulate the use of Metro Government-owned vehicles by Metro Government officers and employees. The Mayor shall submit a copy of the policy with Ordinance No. 214-2005 and shall notify the Metro Council annually of any changes to the policy.

§ 39.066 TRAVEL POLICY.
   The Travel Policy shall control and regulate the expenditures of public money for travel by Metro Government officers and employees. The Mayor shall notify the Metro Council annually of any changes to the policy.

§ 39.067 USE OF FLASHING, ROTATING, OR OSCILLATING RED AND BLUE LIGHTS AND SIRENS BY CORONER AND DEPUTY CORONER PERMITTED.
   (A)   Upon written request to and approval by the Louisville Metro Council, the Coroner may equip a publicly or privately owned motor vehicle with flashing, rotating, or oscillating red and blue lights and a siren to be used only for the purposes of responding to the scene of the report of a death of a human being.
   (B)   The Deputy Coroner may equip a publicly or privately owned motor vehicle with flashing, rotating, or oscillating red and blue lights and a siren to be used only for the purposes of responding to the scene of the report of a death of a human being if:
      (1)   The Deputy Coroner has made a written request to the Coroner to equip a publicly or privately owned motor vehicle with flashing, rotating, or oscillating red and blue lights and a siren; and
      (2)   The Coroner makes a written request to the Louisville Metro Council to permit the Deputy Coroner to equip a publicly or privately owned motor vehicle with flashing, rotating, or oscillating red and blue lights and a siren and the Louisville Metro Council approves the Coroner's written request.
   (C)   The permission granted pursuant to this section shall expire upon the Coroner leaving office or the Louisville Metro Council revoking the authorization.
   (D)   Any Coroner or Deputy Coroner who has been granted permission under this section to equip a publicly or privately owned motor vehicle with flashing, rotating, or oscillating red and blue lights and a siren for the purposes of responding to the scene of the report of a death of a human being shall at all times operate the equipped vehicle in a safe and effective manner with due regard for the safety of all persons and property and shall obey all traffic regulations at all times.

§ 39.081 PROCESS FOR EVALUATING REQUESTS FOR GRANT FUNDS.
   The process for accepting and evaluating proposals for grant funds from outside nonprofit agencies shall be set forth in Metro Government policies, which shall be available to the public on its website.
