351.01 LIMITATIONS ON PARKING.
   No person shall stand or park a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or to comply with the provisions of this Traffic Code, or while obeying the directions of a police officer or a traffic control device, in any of the following places:
   (a)   On a sidewalk, curb or street lawn area, except a bicycle;
   (b)   In front of, or within three feet of a public or private driveway;
   (c)   Within an intersection;
   (d)   Within ten feet of a fire hydrant;
   (e)   On a crosswalk;
   (f)   Within twenty feet of a crosswalk at an intersection;
   (g)   Within thirty feet of, and upon the approach to, any flashing beacon, stop sign or traffic control device;
   (h)   Between a safety zone and the adjacent curb or within thirty feet of points on the curb immediately opposite the end of a safety zone, unless a different length is indicated by a traffic control device;
   (i)   Within fifty feet of the nearest rail of a railroad crossing;
   (j)   Within twenty feet of a driveway entrance to any fire station and, on the side of the street opposite the entrance to any fire station, within seventy-five feet of the entrance when it is properly posted with signs;
   (k)   Alongside or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when such standing or parking would obstruct traffic;
   (l)   Alongside any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of a street;
   (m)   Upon any bridge or other elevated structure upon a street, or within a street tunnel;
   (n)   At any place where signs prohibit stopping, standing or parking, or where the curbing or street is painted yellow, or at any place in excess of the maximum time limited by signs;
   (o)   Within one foot of another parked vehicle;
   (p)   On the roadway portion of a freeway, expressway or thruway.
   (q)   In any private driveway, alleyway or areaway between buildings when in the opinion of the Fire Chief or the Police Chief, such parking constitutes a fire hazard or an obstruction to or interference with operation of the fire fighting equipment of the City, provided signs are erected giving notice thereof;
   (r)   At any place in a municipal parking garage or on other public property excluding dedicated streets and ways set out for public travel and herein regulated, where signs prohibit stopping, standing or parking, or in excess of the time limit established in designated areas of the municipal parking garages, or in any other areas other than entirely within the individual parking spaces designated and marked off for the parking of vehicles;
   (s)   Upon any private property between the building line, as shown on the Building Line Map of the City of Lakewood, and the street line, except upon driveways, including circular accessways and turnarounds where applicable, parking lots, or in an area improved for vehicular use and approved by the Planning Commission.

351.02 POLICE MAY REMOVE UNATTENDED VEHICLE WHICH OBSTRUCTS TRAFFIC.
   Whenever any police officer finds a vehicle unattended upon any street, bridge or causeway, or in any tunnel, where such vehicle constitutes an obstruction to traffic, such officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle.

351.03 CERTAIN STREETS RESTRICTED.
   No person shall stand or park a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or with the provisions of this Traffic Code, or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or a traffic control device, in any of the places, or for longer periods of time, or during the hours specified, as may be applicable and as designated in Sections 351.04 through 351.16, inclusive, or as designated in the regulations promulgated by the Director of Public Safety as provided for, and authorized by, this Traffic Code. 351.04 RESTRICTED PARKING.
   (a)   Parking on streets the pavement of which is twenty-six feet or less in width shall be restricted to one side thereof. No person shall park a vehicle at any time on that side of any such restricted street or part thereof designated by the Mayor as a no parking area, after signs are erected giving notice of such prohibition. In designating the area along the side of any such street in which there shall be no parking, the Mayor shall take into consideration the location of the fire hydrants and other conditions on or adjacent to such street or part thereof.
   (b)   Any motor vehicle parked in violation of this section may be towed from the street, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 303.08 and 351.22. This shall be in addition to the penalty provided in Section 351.99. (Ord. 37-10. Passed 7-19-2010.)
351.05 ARLINGTON ROAD. (REPEALED)
