A. Materials; Permit Required: No permanent driveway approach of cement, brick or other solid material shall be laid or installed in any public parkway nor shall any permanent driveway curbing be constructed or installed in any such parkway without a permit issued by the village board. Any existing concrete curbing shall be removed from such public parkway whenever such curbing is dangerous to traffic or obstructs or hinders the use of the street by vehicles or pedestrians. B. Slope: No driveway approach constructed of crushed rock, asphalt, mixed rock, sand, cinders, dirt or of similar material shall be laid to such a slope or height as to interfere with good and adequate drainage from the crown of the road and from the shoulder of the roadbed toward the nearest downstream sewer opening, according to the normal flow of the surface water now existing in such street at its present grade. C. Nonconforming Driveways: Any driveway approaches which have, prior to the enactment of this section, been installed without a written permit from the village board, shall be removed when such approaches are not in conformity with the requirements of this section whenever, in the opinion of the village board, such approaches interfere with proper street drainage or present a hazard to pedestrians or vehicles.
