A. Driving Over Sidewalks; Protection Required: During the course of any building construction or property improvement of any kind, no vehicles, whether empty or loaded, shall be permitted to drive on or over a sidewalk without there first having been placed thereon as a protection for said sidewalk a wooden shield made of timber or other planks with minimum specifications of two inches by four inches (2" x 4"), so placed as to ensure protection to the surface and edges of said sidewalk. B. Removal Or Destruction Of Sidewalks: No public sidewalk shall be removed or destroyed unless the village board shall have first issued a permit in writing therefor. Such permit shall only be issued where the sidewalk in question is to be removed or destroyed for the purpose of replacement. (Ord. 86, 10-13-1941; amd. 1989 Code)
