6-1-1: REMOVAL AND DEPOSIT OF SNOW AND ICE:
No person engaged in removing snow or ice from any building, private property, driveway, driveway approach or public sidewalk shall sweep, plow, shovel, scrape, drag or in any other manner move or deposit snow or ice in such a way as to narrow the traveled portion of any public street, block the vision of motorists at intersections, prevent parking at the edge of the pavement, cover or interfere with the use of fire hydrants, block sidewalks or driveways, damage parkway trees or sod or otherwise create any traffic or other hazard. Every owner, lessee, tenant, occupant or other person that contracts for the removal of snow or ice shall bear responsibility for actions by their agent(s). (Ord., 1-9-1984)
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall be subject to a class B penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. (1989 Code)
