Department of Police
EDITOR'S NOTE: This chapter was previously titled Police Department. Ordinance 2058, passed March 12, 1984 (codified as Sections 240.01 through 240.07), however, changed the name of the Department to the Police Division. This chapter was further amended by Ordinance 2832, passed April 26, 2004, which references the Department of Police.
   This chapter, previously a codification of Ordinance 1308, passed March 24, 1958; 1524, passed October 12, 1964; 1537, passed June 14,1965; 2029, passed March 14, 1983; and 2034, passed March 28, 1983, was re-enacted in its entirety by Ordinance 2058, passed March 12, 1984.
   Because of the frequency of change, provisions relating to compensation, benefits and other incidents of employment are not codified. Copies of the latest relevant legislation relating to the same, including, inter alia, call-in, court time, stand-by and premium pay compensation, uniforms, medical insurance, vacations, holidays, training, liability insurance, employment related education, sick leave, personnel files, injury leave, layoffs and recall, may be obtained, at cost, from the City Clerk.
