GENERAL PROVISIONS
§ 110.01  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   PEDDLER or HAWKER.  Any transient person who engages temporarily in the selling of any kinds of goods, wares, merchandise, or souvenirs within the corporate limits of the city, regardless of whether the goods are peddled from house to house, or sold on the public streets, sidewalks, or other public places, or sold from any room, building, structure, or lot rented or leased for the purpose of carrying on the business.  ('75 Code, §  17.01)
   SOLICITOR.  Any person who goes from house to house or from place to place within the corporate limits of the city, selling or taking orders for, or offering to sell or take orders for goods, wares, or merchandise for future delivery, or subscriptions, or business of any kind, or soliciting or seeking donations of any kind. § 110.02  SALES FROM VEHICLES PROHIBITED.
   (A)   For the purpose of this section the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   VEHICLE.  Any automobile, truck, wagon, trailer, or other conveyance for carrying property.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle on any street or alley in the city, or between any street and property line in the city, for the primary purpose of offering for sale or selling from the vehicle any products, commodities, goods, wares, or merchandise of any kind, except where prior approval has been given by the Board of Public Works and Safety.

§ 110.03  PERMITTED HOURS.
   Any peddler, hawker, or solicitor as defined in § 110.01 of this chapter shall not engage in any activity with which this chapter is concerned on any day before the hour of 9:00 a.m. local time or after sunset.
