There is hereby established within the Fire Department a Bureau of Fire Prevention. The Chief of the Fire Department shall appoint such members of the Fire Department to the Bureau of Fire Prevention as he or she may deem necessary and proper. The Chief of the Fire Department shall act as the Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention.

The Fire Department may provide fire protection services pursuant to Ohio R.C. 9.60(D) to any State agency or instrumentality, county or political subdivision of this State, or to a governmental entity of an adjoining state, without a contract to provide such services, upon the authorization of the Fire Chief or his or her designee, provided that Euclid calls receive highest priority.

(a) Beginning January 1, 1991, the Chief of Fire shall be paid at a rate of 1.85 times the bi-weekly pay of a first class fire fighter.
(b) Beginning January 1, 1991, the Assistant Chief of Fire shall be paid at a rate of 1.63 times the bi-weekly pay of a first class fire fighter.
