The Mayor, upon recommendation of the Chief of Police, or upon his or her own initiative, may at any time revoke or suspend a license for a going-out-of-business sale for any violation of this chapter or of any law or ordinance relating to the conduct of such business.

The person to whom the license for a going-out-of-business sale has been granted shall remain in continuous attendance at all times while such sale is being conducted, and shall be responsible for any violation of the provisions relating to such auction or sale.

Whoever violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree and shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or imprisoned not more than six months, or both, for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
