9-1-1: CODES ADOPTED:
The particular model construction codes listed below (with revisions as may be hereinafter set forth) are hereby adopted and incorporated in this chapter, as fully as if set out at length herein, for the purposes of establishing rules and regulations for the following activities carried on within the corporate limits of the city:
   A.   Building Code: The construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use, occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and structures, including commercial structures:
   International building code (recommended by the International Code Council), 2000 or latest edition.
   B.   Plumbing Code: The installation or alteration of plumbing and drainage systems for buildings and structures:
   International plumbing code (recommended by the International Code Council), 2000 or latest edition.
   C.   Electrical Code: The installation or alteration of electrical equipment for buildings or structures:
   National electrical code (recommended by the National Fire Protection Association), 2002 or latest edition.
   D.   Administrative Provisions For Electrical Code: The administrative provisions used to administer the national electrical code and regulating the design, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of electrical systems in the city:
   ICC electrical code, administrative provisions, 2000 or latest edition.
   E.   Property Maintenance Code: The provisions of the basic, minimum housing standards for the maintenance and preservation of the health, safety and welfare of occupants:
   International property maintenance code (recommended by the International Code Council), 2000 or latest edition.
   F.   International Fire Prevention Code: The provision of basic safeguards to life and property from the hazards of fire, hazardous materials and explosion:
   International fire prevention code and appendices C, D, E, F and G (recommended by the International Code Council), 2000 or latest edition.
   G.   Gas Code: The installation or alteration of gas systems for buildings or structures:
   International fuel gas code (recommended by the International Code Council and the American Gas Association), 2000 or latest edition.
   H.   Energy Conservation Code: The provision of basic standards for energy conservation in buildings and structures:
   International energy conservation code (recommended by the International Code Council), 2000 or latest edition.
   I.   Mechanical Code: The provision of basic standards for mechanical installations in buildings and structures:
   International mechanical code (recommended by the International Code Council), 2000 or latest edition.
   J.   Residential Code: Residential code regulating the construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use, occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and structures, including one- and two-family dwellings and multi-family housing:
   International residential code, for one- and two-family dwellings (recommended by the International Code Council), 2000 or latest edition. (2013 Code)
