This district is created to provide for small shopping areas primarily designed to serve nearby residential areas. Neighborhood commercial districts will usually be located on a major street and they will usually provide sites for businesses that sell items and provide personal services accessed on a daily basis. Because the neighborhood commercial areas are generally adjacent to residential areas, surrounding residential properties must be protected.
