§ 5-4-32 DISTRICT BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY MAP.
The boundaries of the above districts are hereby established as shown on the map entitled Zoning Map of Dillon, South Carolina. The Map, together with all explanatory matter thereon, is hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this ordinance. The official copy of the Zoning Map of Dillon shall be maintained in the office of the Code Enforcement Director. A duplicate copy shall be maintained in the office of the Municipal Clerk. All zoning district boundaries shall be clearly shown on the Zoning Map, and amendments to the Map shall be recorded immediately after adoption. The official copies of the Zoning Map shall be dated and attested by the Municipal Clerk, and shall be available for public inspection. The official Zoning Map and any amendments adopted by the Dillon City Council shall constitute the final authority for determination of district boundaries. It shall be unlawful for any person to make unauthorized changes to the Zoning Map.
§ 5-4-33 INTERPRETATION OF DISTRICT BOUNDARIES.
Where uncertainty exists as to the boundaries of any zoning district, the following general rules of interpretation shall apply. It shall be the duty of the Code Enforcement Director to interpret the location of district boundaries.
   (A)   A zoning district name or letter of letter/number combination placed on the Zoning Map will show that the regulations pertaining to the district so designated extend throughout the whole area bounded by the district boundary line.
   (B)   District boundaries indicated as approximately following the center lines of streets, highways, alleys, railroads, streams, or bodies of water shall be construed to follow those center lines.
   (C)   District boundaries indicated as approximately following platted lot lines of tax map lot lines shall be construed as following those lot lines.
   (D)   District boundaries indicated as approximately following municipal boundaries shall be construed as following those municipal boundaries.
   (E)   District boundaries indicated as approximately parallel to or extensions of features indicated in subsections above shall be so construed for the distances indicated on the Zoning Map. Distances not specifically indicated shall be determined by the scale of the Map.
§ 5-4-34 LOTS DIVIDED BY DISTRICT BOUNDARIES.
When a district boundary line as appearing on the Zoning Map divides a lot in single ownership at the time of the adoption of this ordinance, or subsequent amendment, into two (2) or more different districts, the Board of Zoning Appeals may permit, as a special exception, the extension of the regulations for either portion of the lot, not to exceed fifty (50) feet beyond the district line into the remaining portion of the lot.
ARTICLE F: APPLICATION OF REGULATIONS
§ 5-4-41 ZONING AFFECTS ALL LANDS, BUILDINGS, AND STRUCTURES.
No building, structure, or land shall hereafter be used or occupied, and no building, structure or part thereof shall hereafter be erected, constructed, reconstructed, moved or structurally altered unless in conformity with the regulations specified in this ordinance for the zoning district in which it is located.
§ 5-4-42 REGULATIONS REGARDED AS A MINIMUM.
Within each zoning district, the regulations set forth by this ordinance shall apply uniformly to each class or kind of structure or land. In their interpretation and application, the provisions of this ordinance shall be held to be minimum requirements adopted for the promotion of the public health, safety, or general welfare.
