The location and boundaries of land subject to periodic flooding shall be determined by reference to the current floodplain map approved by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, or other official authority. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, land subject to periodic flooding shall be used only in accordance with the applicable provisions of the current city ordinance regulating floodplain land use.
