§ 385.51 Containers for Compressed Gases
   (a)   Except as provided in subsection (b) hereof, no person shall store, sell or transport any gas compressed to a pressure greater than twenty-five (25) psi at seventy degrees Fahrenheit (70°F) or any flammable liquid having a Reid (ASTM D 323) vapor pressure exceeding forty (40) psi absolute at one hundred degrees Fahrenheit (100°F) unless it is contained in a metal cylinder or other container conforming to the specifications of the Interstate Commerce Commission and bearing the ICC label of approval. All such containers shall be filed, used and maintained in conformity with the rules and regulations of the Interstate Commerce Commission and shall be plainly marked with the name of the owner and manufacturer and identified by serial number.
   (b)   For a period not exceeding three (3) years after June 27, 1949, the Fire Chief may permit the continued use of cylinders which are not ICC cylinders and which were in use on June 27, 1949, when their continued use is deemed by him or her not to create a hazard to life or property.
