2-84-470 Salary payment – Absence from duty.
   Any policeman absent from duty on account of sickness for a period not exceeding six months, and any policeman absent from duty on account of death in his immediate family, and any policeman temporarily absent from duty on account of sickness in his immediate family, may, in the discretion of the board, receive full pay for such period of absence.
