2-84-320 Searching suspects for weapons – Conditions.
   When a police officer having identified himself as a police officer has stopped a person for temporary questioning and reasonably suspects that he is in danger of attack, he may search such person for dangerous weapons. If the officer discovers such weapons he may take such property until the completion of the questioning, at which time he shall either return such property if lawfully possessed or arrest the person.
