8-5-1: ELECTRICAL CODE ADOPTED:
   A.   Adopted: For the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the installation and repair or remodeling of electrical systems within the city, the national electrical code, 1984 edition, as recommended by the American Standards Institute, and the whole thereof, as well as any amendments, revisions, compilations and republications of the same, is hereby adopted by the city, and incorporated herein as fully as if set out at length herein, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the installation of all electrical work of all buildings other structures within the corporate limits of the city.    B.   Copy On File: One copy has been and now is filed in the office of the city clerk-treasurer. (1974 Code § 3-801; amd. 2010 Code)
8-5-2: STATE LICENSE:
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to carry on the business of electrical wiring without first having secured a state license to do so and as required by Idaho Code title 54, chapter 10. (1974 Code § 3-802)
8-5-3: PERSONS MAKING OWN INSTALLATIONS:
If an owner wishes to do wiring in his own building, he may do so without a state license, but he must first obtain any permit as may be required under the national electrical code as herein adopted or as may be required under Idaho Code title 54, chapter 10. (1974 Code § 3-803)
