§15-206.   Play Highways Established and Authorized.
   1.   The Mayor is authorized to designate as play highways, whenever he deems that action advisable, and for whatever period of time directed by him, any part of any street in the Borough where sledding and coasting shall be permitted. That play highway shall be set apart for the purpose under the direction of the Mayor.
   2.   No person shall drive any motor vehicle upon any play highway at any time when that street shall be designated as a play highway, except in case of emergency, with special permission of the Mayor or the police officers of the Borough and those dispatched by 911, or of the police officer in charge, who shall first clear that play highway of all persons using it for the purpose for which it was set aside. Any person who violates any provision of this subsection, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.
   3.   No person or persons shall coast or ride upon any sled or similar conveyance upon any street or alley in the Borough of Blossburg, unless such street or alley shall have been especially set apart and designated for the purpose as a “play highway” by the Mayor. Any person who shall violate any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $25 and costs of prosecution for each and every offense.
