(a) The Human Resources Committee, when it is deemed necessary, shall recommend to Council any revision or repeal of the wage classification plan for all classified positions.
(b) Each classification in the plan shall be assigned a three digit number, the first of which shall denote the classification series to which the classification is assigned as follows:
(1) Public Works Department Maintenance/Trade Class Code 1
(2) Administrative/Clerical support Class Code 2
(3) Public Safety Class Code 3
(4) Utilities Maintenance and Trades Class Code 4
(c) The Mayor or his or her designee shall establish classifications, their specifications and pay range for each classification. The Mayor or his or her designee shall then recommend any changes or repeal or new classifications of the wage classification plan to the Human Resources Committee which shall recommend to Council any revision or repeal of the wage classification plan for their approval.
(d) The Committee shall establish a central file system for the placement and storage of personnel files in the Finance Department under the control of the Mayor or his or her designee.
