Bowling Alleys, Billiard Parlors and Game Rooms
707.01   License required.

707.01 LICENSE REQUIRED.
   No person shall operate a billiard room, pool room, bowling alley, game room/video room or combination thereof, in the City, without first obtaining a license from the City Manager.

707.02 BILLIARD PARLOR, POOLROOM, GAME ROOM: LICENSE ISSUANCE.
   (a)   There is hereby fixed a license fee of ten dollars ($10.00) for each pinball or video game or machine and five dollars ($5.00) for each identical pinball or video game or machine, upon the business of conducting pinball, video games in the City of Ashtabula, Ohio.
   (b)   The City Manager may issue a license to any person for opening or keeping a poolroom or billiard parlor where persons are permitted to pay for and play pool or billiards. The license shall be for a period of one year. The City Manager shall charge and collect a license fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each pool or billiard table in operation. The license may be renewed for a period of one year upon expiration and upon the payment of a fee of five dollars ($5.00) for each billiard or pool table in operation.
