§ 112.01 DEFINITION.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   TAXICAB. Any motor vehicle used for carrying passengers for hire within the town to destinations designated by the passengers, and not on regular routes.

§ 112.02 LICENSE REQUIRED.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to operate, propel, or cause to be operated or propelled any taxicab on or along any of the avenues, streets, or alleys within the town, until such person shall have first obtained a license, signed by the Clerk-Treasurer, to so operate such taxicab and shall have paid the fee therefor as provided in this chapter.
   (B)   No taxicab shall be operated at any time unless a photograph of the driver operating the taxicab is prominently displayed so as to be visible to all passengers riding in the taxicab, under which photograph shall be printed his or her name and address, and the name of the owner of the taxicab.

§ 112.03 LICENSE FEES.
   All applicants for new licenses shall pay an initial fee, the purchaser of such business shall not be required to pay an additional initial license fee. Annual licenses may be transferred with the sale of the business, upon payment to the Clerk-Treasurer of a transfer fee of $1 per license. An annual license fee of $5 per year per taxicab shall be paid to the Clerk-Treasurer on or before July 1 each year. Once an owner quits the taxicab business, sells or transfers his or her license or fails to renew his or her annual license, he or she shall, upon application for a taxicab license, be regarded as a new applicant and required to pay the initial fee herein provided.
