The City of Wayne hereby adopts by reference the provisions of the Michigan Vehicle Code (1949 Public Act 300, M.C.L.A. 257.1 to 257.923, as amended), all amendments thereto that have been passed by the State legislation with effective date on or before March 1, 2006, a copy of which is on file with the City Clerk. In the event that any amendments are made to the statute, such amendments shall be deemed to be adopted by reference and incorporated herein, except such portion as may hereinafter be amended or deleted specifically by subsections of this chapter.

References in the Michigan Vehicle Code, as adopted in Section 410.01, to “local authorities” and “state” shall mean the City of Wayne.
