110.05 LIEN FOR NONPAYMENT.

Except as provided for in Section 92.08 of this Code of Ordinances, the owner of the premises served and any lessee or tenant thereof are jointly and severally liable for fees for gas service. Fees remaining unpaid and delinquent shall constitute a lien upon the premises served and shall be certified by the Clerk to the County Treasurer for collection in the same manner as property taxes.

110.06 CITY REVISION OF RATES AND CHARGES.

The City may from time to time, by ordinance, change and readjust the foregoing rates to be charged for gas where it is deemed advisable in the judgment of the Council, with approval of outstanding bondholders of record.

110.07 GAS METERS.

1.   Installation of Gas Meter Extensions. When, in the opinion of the Public Works Director, a meter is inaccessible to the reader because of location, prohibited entry due to animals or barriers, or any other reason, the Clerk may cause to be installed a gas meter extension and shall charge the cost of said gas meter extension and the installation thereof to the user.

2.   Meter Check. Every meter may be removed from service at least once every 20 years, at the discretion of the City, and tested or replaced with a new meter. Any meter found inaccurate beyond a tolerance of two percent shall not be returned to service until properly adjusted.
