The Director of Law shall draft such ordinances, bylaws and resolutions as Council may from time to time require, and shall be required to deliver opinions on the constitutionality of the same, and shall meet with Council for consultation when required so to do.

(a) The Director of Law may appoint an assistant to the Director of Law. The Assistant Director of Law shall perform the duties of Prosecuting Attorney of the Tiffin Municipal Court in accordance with Ohio R.C. 733.51.

(b) Whenever the Director of Law finds it advisable, expedient, and necessary, he shall have the authority to appoint two individuals to act as Assistant Directors of Law primarily for the duties of Prosecuting Attorney of Tiffin Municipal Court. Such individuals will have equal standing and be subject to the approval of Council.
(c) The Director of Law may at his discretion at any time he deems appropriate consolidate the duties of Police Prosecutor in the hands of one person by terminating the appointment and making a new appointment subject to Council approval.
(d) Each Assistant Director of Law shall have available the full use of the office in the Municipal Building, the secretarial staff, and such other requirements in filling the position as shall be approved by the Director of Law.
