(a) The position of Interim Assistant Director of Law, is hereby established for matters wherein, by conflict of interest, the incumbent Director of Law and his appointed assistant are ineligible to appear in behalf of the City.
(b) The Mayor shall have the authority to appoint an Interim Assistant Director of Law, subject to approval of Council, and to authorize the payment of such fees and expenses as have been appropriated by Council for designated purposes.
(c) The term of such appointment shall be for such period of time as the Mayor designates, with authority to extend such term as indicated under the circumstances upon completion of such duties or upon decision of the Mayor to terminate such appointment, the position shall become vacant.
