2-1-1: COMMISSION CREATED; APPOINTMENT; TERM:
There is hereby reestablished a Plan Commission for the City, which Commission shall consist of the chairman of the Board of Appeals 1 and six (6) members appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the Council. The chairman and secretary of the Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor with approval of the Council. Such members shall serve for six (6) year terms; provided, that each year, one member shall be appointed or reappointed to the Commission. The Mayor shall be an ex officio member of the Plan Commission as provided by law 2 . (Ord. 2829, 3-3-1998)
2-1-2: MEETINGS:
The Plan Commission shall meet at such times as it may, by resolution, designate, and it shall hold special meetings on call by the chairman or any two (2) members thereof, provided twenty four (24) hours' notice of such special meeting is given to each member. Service of such notice may be waived by any member. (1979 Code Ch. 8, Art. VIII, § 2)
2-1-3: FUNCTIONS:
The Plan Commission shall prepare and recommend the adoption of a comprehensive program of public improvements and such changes therein as it may, from time to time, deem desirable. It shall hold hearings and make recommendations to the City Council regarding all changes of City zoning or subdivision plats 3 and shall have such additional power and duties as may be delegated to it by statute or ordinance.
