17-105-2: ALLOCATION AND APPLICATION OF UTILITY PAYMENTS:
   A.   Definitions:
UTILITIES: The procurement or sale of electricity, water, sewage or garbage disposal services sold by the city of Stroud or the Stroud utilities authority, whether one or more.
UTILITY ACCOUNT: An account opened by an end user or purchaser of electricity, water, sewage or garbage disposal services sold by the city of Stroud or the Stroud utilities authority, whether the same shall be one or more services purchased.
UTILITY CUSTOMER: The end user or purchaser of electricity, water, sewage or garbage disposal services, regardless of the number of services purchased, whether one or more.
UTILITY SERVICES: Those products or services sold to the public at large, such as electricity, water, sewage or garbage disposal services. (Ord. 231, 6-12-2008)
   B.   Payments Applied To: The city and the Stroud utilities authority are hereby authorized and directed with regard to all payments made by utility customers on their outstanding utility bills, to apply any amounts received from the said utility customers: first to charges incurred for ambulance subsidization fees and fees associated with certain natural disasters; and, secondly, the remaining amounts received shall be applied on outstanding charges for electricity, water, sewage and garbage removal fees incurred.
   C.   Terminate Services: Failure of the utility customer to pay the entire amounts due or incurred shall require the city and the Stroud utilities authority to terminate services currently in effect in accordance with the existing policies and procedures.
   D.   Applicability: This section is made applicable as it pertains to each utility bill and shall not be based on the number of utility accounts held in any single customer's name. (Ord. 230, 5-8-2008)
