17-105-1: UTILITY BILLING; NOTICES; DISCONTINUATION OF SERVICES:
   A.   The city and the Stroud utilities authority are hereby authorized and directed, with regard to invoices issued concerning utility customers, to take the following actions:
      1.   In the event the invoiced utility services are not paid by the tenth day of the month in which the invoice is generated, a "disconnect notice" shall be mailed to the utility customer;
      2.   In the event the invoiced utility services, including late fees, are not paid within five (5) days of the mailing of the "disconnect notice", the utility services shall be disconnected without further notice to the utility customer;
      3.   In the event the tenth day of the month falls on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, the due date shall be extended to the next business day thereafter;
      4.   The "disconnect notice" shall be in a form prescribed by the city and the Stroud utilities authority.
   B.   All late fees and reconnection fees as they currently exist shall remain in full force and effect.
   C.   Failure of the utility customer to pay the entire amounts due or incurred shall require the city and the Stroud utilities authority to terminate services currently in effect as set forth hereinabove.
   D.   This section is made applicable as it pertains to each utility bill and shall not be based on the number of utility accounts held in any single customer's name. (Ord. 233, 8-14-2008)
